How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment or fill out a form, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

In the case of contact forms, we use your personal data to contact you and organize your submission based on name, in order to tell your submission apart from those of others.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments or submitted a form, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service provided by Google. The service is called reCAPTCHA. One of reCAPTCHA’s requirements for use is to have a privacy policy, like this one, in place.

When you submit a contact form, we receive your data in an offline environment in our own email accounts. Some of your data is then stored on our server, protected by SSL, as well as on our own devices, including PCs and mobile devices. These devices are protected from breaches by third parties through updated software.

Your contact information

When you enter your contact information through one of our contact forms, we retain that information indefinitely in order to keep a record of your interaction with our company. You can contact us anytime at [email protected] to request a summary of the information we have on file for you, or to request that we expunge said information.
